Dr. Wandsneider grew up in the rural Midwest and built his career as a hospitalist in a small western Colorado town. After seeing how venture-capital-driven groups overlooked physicians and strained hospital relationships, he founded Rural Family Physicians, now Frontier Physicians, as a physician-led alternative.
Dr. Matthew Rice is a board-certified family physician who holds the Designation of Focused Practice in Hospital Medicine from the American Board of Family Medicine in conjunction with the American Board of Internal Medicine. He completed his family medicine residency and faculty development fellowship at Madigan Army Medical Center, a hospitalist fellowship at Womack Army Medical Center, and an M.B.A. from Pacific Lutheran University.
During his Army career, he served in diverse clinical, executive leadership, and operational medicine roles across the United States, Europe, the Near East, and Asia. He is an instructor in Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and mentors medical students as Volunteer Clinical Faculty at the University of Colorado School of Medicine.
Dr. Rice has authored seven peer-reviewed articles on topics spanning clinical medicine, legal issues, and operational medicine. When caring for patients, he strives to be thorough, thoughtful, kind, and compassionate, always with the goal of comforting the sick and helping them heal.
With over 12 years of experience in healthcare, Kelsey brings a strong operational and clinical foundation to her role. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Physical Therapy and began her career on the clinical side before transitioning into healthcare operations.
Kelsey has built her career around streamlining workflows, organizing teams, and improving day-to-day operations in complex healthcare environments. She takes a practical, people-first approach, creating efficient, reliable systems that let clinical teams focus on delivering high-quality patient care.
